Township Tours
Found on the outskirts of Cape Town, the Cape Flats is one of the destinations of the Cape Town township tours. Vvast number of townships exist in the Flats strong sense of community, giving the township areas a truly unique spirit. According to the regulations
of the infamous Group Areas Act implemented during apartheid, it is here that
people of colour were relocated to different areas.
Highlights of this half day tour include:
- An insight into the past and post 1994 progress
- Visiting projects which are helping previously disadvantaged communities
develop and building a better life for all
- An insight into another side of Cape Town with focus on job creation
via community based initiatives
